Our mission is to provide Evanston public school students, PreK to 12th grade, with supplies and backpacks so they’re prepared to learn at home and at school.

Happy Holidays from Caring Outreach by Parents in Evanston: COPE!
Each year, Dear Evanston invites organizations and groups that work toward building bridges across
race and socioeconomics, increasing equity, reducing poverty and ending gun violence
in Evanston to send a holiday message to the community.
Here's the COPE team wishing the Evanston community happy holidays.
Run entirely by volunteers, COPE is a grassroots, community-built, nonprofit that believes in the power of people.
COPE provides Evanston public school students, pre-K through 12th grade, with supplies
so they're prepared to learn at home and at school.
Each year in August, COPE has an annual school-supply kit and backpack distribution.
"Our wish for Evanston is that every child has a chance to become the person they are capable of being".
Receiving school supplies from COPE helps kids and teachers start their year equitably.
Our efforts also reduce the costs that impact the district and individual teachers.
